The age pension is one of the many benefits provided by the Commonwealth Government. It is provided through Centrelink as a financial safety net for Australians.
Men can apply for the pension at age 65. In the past, women could apply at age 60, however this is gradually being increased to age 65. If you're female, this calculator will tell you when you can apply for the age pension.
