  • have an investment timeframe of at least five to seven years
  • want exposure to assets with potentially higher returns
  • are prepared to accept fluctuations in the value of their investments over the short term.

Investment objective

To achieve an average return over rolling five-year periods of CPI + 4.0% p.a., after fees and tax.

Crediting rates differ from net returns due to a slight delay in unit prices reflecting the value of the underlying assets. Crediting rates are the returns that are applied daily to members' accounts. The crediting rates quoted for a given period apply to members who have remained in the option/s for the entire period and made no transactions.

2. Asset allocations effective from 1 July 2008. Transitional arrangements will apply to the Fixed interest allocation for the Balanced option (5%-25%).
